Fluffy Freud fits in fine with other cats at the sanctuary but is shy around people. For years, volunteers hardly ever saw him during the morning cattery feeding and cleaning hours. The managers said Freud came out later in the day, when the volunteers had left. Now this feral guy occasionally mingles with the other cats in broad daylight, a small behavioral change that makes us smile.
Since we never give up on an animal, our manager is looking for volunteers to work on socializing shy cats at Safe Haven. You can also have the pleasure of petting, brushing, and loving on our many people-friendly cats and kittens that are up for adoption.
