Young Temple Beth-El member makes donation to Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary

Hannah Saltman,13, is a member at Temple Beth-El synagogue. As part of her bat mitzvah, a Jewish coming-of-age ritual, she chose to hold a donation drive for Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary. She placed a bin and sign at Temple Beth-El and asked for donations. Temple Beth-El members and friends donated items on the Safe Haven donation list, as well as monetary funds. The official presentations were made at PetSmart on Saturday, July 28, as part of safe haven’s monthly adoption event at the store. On hand to receive the donations were Cass Walker, sanctuary manager, and Laura O’Connor, executive director.
